IMSURGE is available as a progressive web app. You can add it to a phone or tablet and open it from the Home Screen like an installed app without downloading it from an app store.

The installed app uses the same IMSURGE account and data as the website.

Android with Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome on the Android device.
  2. Go to app.imsurge.com and sign in.
  3. Open the More menu beside the address bar.
  4. Select Install and create shortcut, then select Install.
  5. Follow the prompts to add IMSURGE to the device.

Depending on the Chrome version and device, the installation option may instead appear as Install app or Add to Home screen.

iPhone with Safari

  1. Open Safari on the iPhone.
  2. Go to app.imsurge.com and sign in.
  3. Open the Share menu. Depending on the Safari tab layout, you may need to select More and then Share.
  4. Select Add to Home Screen.
  5. Turn on Open as Web App.
  6. Select Add.

If Add to Home Screen is not shown, scroll to the bottom of the Share menu, select Edit Actions, and add it to the available actions.

iPad with Safari

  1. Open Safari on the iPad.
  2. Go to app.imsurge.com and sign in.
  3. Select Share, select More, and then select Add to Home Screen.
  4. Turn on Open as Web App.
  5. Select Add.

Open the Installed App

After installation, select the IMSURGE icon on the device’s Home Screen. IMSURGE opens in its own app window while continuing to use the web-based service.

You do not need to create a separate account. Sign in with your existing IMSURGE credentials if prompted.
