The Geokon source imports time-series data from one selected Geokon logger.

Setup

Prerequisites

Before setting up this integration, make sure you have:

  • A Geokon API token
  • Access to the Geokon logger you want to import
  • The logger serial ID

Credential Setup

Use Geokon Credentials to create or select the credential for this integration. IMSURGE uses the credential to list available logger serial IDs during setup, and read data during pipeline runs.

Integration Setup

After selecting the Geokon credential, configure the source using:

  • Logger ID - The Geokon logger serial ID IMSURGE should read from.

IMSURGE recommends hourly polling unless your Geokon logger updates on a slower schedule.

Output Description
Device IMSURGE creates source devices from the selected logger’s discovered series and filter groups. Different logger channels, sensor channels, or diagnostic series may appear as separate devices.
Metrics Metrics are discovered dynamically for each Geokon series. Possible metrics depend on logger and sensor configuration.
Units Units use Geokon unit values when they are compatible with IMSURGE unit handling. Unknown or custom units may be left blank while the readings are still imported.

Limitations

  • Dynamic series discovery - A Geokon logger may expose multiple logger channels, sensor channels, and diagnostic series. IMSURGE discovers these at runtime and may represent them as separate source devices or series internally.
  • Metric availability - Available metrics and units depend on the connected logger, sensor configuration, and Geokon data availability. Not every logger exposes every metric.
  • Read-only Integration - IMSURGE reads logger time-series data only. It does not register, activate, configure, or modify Geokon devices, sensors, accounts, API tokens, or subscriptions.
  • Alpha Integration - Geokon is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
