The In-Situ source imports readings from one selected location through the HydroVu Public API. IMSURGE creates time-series data from the selected location and its HydroVu parameters.

Setup

Prerequisites

Before setting up this integration, make sure you have:

  • A HydroVu Client ID and Client Secret
  • Access to the HydroVu location you want to import

Credential Setup

Use In-Situ Credentials to create or select the credential for this integration. IMSURGE uses the credential to list available HydroVu locations during setup and to read data during pipeline runs.

Integration Setup

After selecting the In-Situ credential, configure the source using:

  • Location - The HydroVu location IMSURGE should read from.

Options are limited to locations available to that HydroVu credential.

In-Situ supports backtracking for up to 7 days. IMSURGE recommends hourly polling unless your HydroVu location updates on a slower schedule.

Device One IMSURGE device is created for the selected HydroVu location.
Metrics Metrics are created from HydroVu parameters. Friendly parameter names are used when HydroVu provides them.
Units Units use HydroVu friendly unit names when they are compatible with IMSURGE unit handling. Unknown or custom units may be left blank while the readings are still imported.

Limitations

  • Data availability - Some HydroVu locations may only contain historical data, or may not have readings for the selected sync window.
  • Alpha Integration - In-Situ (HydroVu) is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
