Monnit Credentials
Create the Monnit Connector credential for Monnit source integrations.
Use this page to create the Monnit Connector credential used by Monnit source integrations.
The credential stores the Monnit API authentication details once. Monnit source integrations then use those credentials to list available networks and sensors during setup.
Monnit credentials can also have an HTTP ingress endpoint attached. Source integrations that use the credential inherit that endpoint, so Monnit can push data to the credential endpoint and IMSURGE can route it to the related integrations.
Setup
Prerequisites
Before creating the Monnit credential, make sure you have:
- A Monnit API Key ID
- A Monnit API Secret Key
- Access to the Monnit networks and sensors you want to connect to IMSURGE
Monnit documents API key creation in iMonnit REST API Authentication. In iMonnit, an administrator can create keys from API > API Keys. Copy the API Key ID and API Secret Key when the key is generated. Monnit only displays the API Secret Key once.
Credential Setup
When creating the Monnit credential, enter:
- API Key ID - The Monnit API key ID used to authenticate with the Monnit API.
- API Secret Key - The Monnit API secret key used with the API Key ID to authenticate with the Monnit API.
If the credential includes an HTTP ingress endpoint, configure the endpoint settings from the credential. Any Monnit source integrations using that credential inherit the same endpoint.
Use the credential’s HTTP ingress endpoint as the destination when configuring the Monnit webhook. Monnit documents webhook setup in Configuring an iMonnit Webhook.
If you use IP Allowlist, include Monnit’s webhook source IP addresses:
64.78.195.12, 66.114.115.20
If you enable Basic Auth on the IMSURGE endpoint, configure matching Basic authentication in the iMonnit webhook.
