Setup

Prerequisites

Before setting up this integration, make sure the iSiteCentral project contains the source device or monitoring point you want to read. For grouped multi-channel devices, related sensor rows should use a consistent naming convention.

Credential Setup

Use iSiteCentral Credentials to create or select the credential for this integration. If it already exists in your workspace, select it instead of creating a new one.

Integration Setup

After selecting the iSiteCentral credential, configure the integration by selecting:

  • Device Group - A generic group derived from iSiteCentral sensor names. This helps narrow the list of available source devices.
  • Source Device - The grouped iSiteCentral device or monitoring point IMSURGE should read from.

iSiteCentral may expose each channel as a separate sensor row instead of one explicit multi-channel device. IMSURGE groups related rows into one source device when the iSiteCentral sensor catalog shows a consistent name-derived grouping.

For best results, related channels should share the same device base name and differ only by the final channel suffix.

Examples:

Pattern Example
Device-Channel PAV-DMP2-C08-EE-Easting
Device:Channel PAV-VM-C04:Peak X [in/s]
Device_Channel PAV.SH-VTS-01_X

Best practices:

  • Keep the device base name consistent across all channels from the same physical device or monitoring point.
  • Put the channel or metric name at the end of the sensor name.
  • Use one delimiter style consistently within the same naming convention.

Limitations

  • iSiteCentral does not expose an explicit parent device and channel relationship in the sensor catalog. IMSURGE derives grouping from sensor names.
  • If IMSURGE cannot confidently identify a grouped source device, the sensor row is treated as its own source device.
  • Each iSiteCentral source integration reads one selected Source Device and all channels associated with that device.
  • IMSURGE imports the processed reading values returned by iSiteCentral. For displacement-style Easting, Northing, and Height channels, these values may represent deltas rather than absolute coordinates.
