Release Version: AlphaRelease VersionAlpha

The MicroStrain SensorCloud (Source) integration imports time-series observations from one selected SensorCloud sensor. The shared credential identifies one SensorCloud device, and IMSURGE automatically discovers all supported time-series channels under the selected sensor.

Setup

Prerequisites

Before setting up this integration, make sure you have:

  • A SensorCloud Device ID and SensorCloud Device Authentication Key for the device you want to import
  • Access to the SensorCloud device’s existing time-series observations

Credential Setup

Use MicroStrain SensorCloud Credentials to create or select the credential for this integration. The same credential works for both source and target setups.

Integration Setup

After selecting the MicroStrain SensorCloud credential, configure the source using:

  • Sensor - Required. Select one sensor from the SensorCloud device identified by the credential. The selector shows the sensor label when available, otherwise the sensor name. IMSURGE stores the immutable SensorCloud sensor name.

IMSURGE imports only the selected sensor. If that sensor is missing or unavailable, it does not fall back to importing all sensors. There is no channel selector.

Limitations

  • Time-series data only - IMSURGE imports SensorCloud time-series observations only.
  • Channel discovery - Time-series channels are discovered automatically for the selected sensor and cannot be selected individually during setup.
  • Unit changes - If a channel’s unit ranges cannot be represented safely, that channel is skipped with a warning while other valid channels may continue.
  • Alpha Integration - MicroStrain SensorCloud (Source) is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
