MicroStrain (Target)
Write IMSURGE time-series data to a MicroStrain SensorCloud device.
The MicroStrain SensorCloud target writes IMSURGE time-series data to one SensorCloud device. IMSURGE maps devices to SensorCloud sensors and metrics to SensorCloud channels.
Setup
Prerequisites
Before setting up this integration, make sure you have:
- A SensorCloud Device ID and SensorCloud Device Authentication Key for the device that receives data
- IMSURGE data that meets the unit and sample-rate requirements below
Credential Setup
Use MicroStrain SensorCloud Credentials to create or select the credential for this integration. The same credential works for both source and target setups.
Integration Setup
After selecting the MicroStrain SensorCloud credential, no additional target-specific fields are required. The SensorCloud Device ID in the credential identifies the one SensorCloud device that receives the pipeline’s data.

Limitations
- Existing channel units - Incoming units must match existing stored/preferred unit names and identity calibration. IMSURGE may initialize units on an existing unitless channel only when it can safely determine that the stream is empty; otherwise unit-bearing uploads are rejected. IMSURGE does not automatically convert or relabel existing data.
- Uniform sample rate required - Each populated metric series must contain at least two observations at a uniform cadence representable as integer Hz or whole-second intervals. Single-point, irregular, or unsupported series reject the execution before upload.
- Alpha Integration - MicroStrain SensorCloud (Target) is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
