The Ubidots (Source) integration imports time-series values from one selected Ubidots variable.

Setup

Prerequisites

Before setting up this integration, make sure you have:

  • A Ubidots API token
  • Access to the Ubidots device and variable you want to import

Credential Setup

Use Ubidots Credentials to create or select the Ubidots API Token credential for this integration. The same credential works for both Ubidots source and target setups.

Integration Setup

After selecting the Ubidots credential, configure the source using:

  • Device Type - The Ubidots device type that contains the device.
  • Device - The Ubidots device IMSURGE should read from.
  • Variable - The Ubidots variable IMSURGE should import.

Ubidots reads use timestamp-based polling. IMSURGE applies a short rolling lookback and timestamp deduplication to avoid missing late-arriving values.

Limitations

  • Single variable source - Each Ubidots source integration reads from one selected variable.
  • Timestamp-based polling - Reads are driven by Ubidots reading timestamps. Late-arriving values are handled with a short rolling lookback and timestamp deduplication.
  • Ubidots API limits - Choose a polling rate that matches your Ubidots update cadence and account limits.
  • Alpha Integration - Ubidots Source is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
