Instantel (Thor)
Receive histogram data uploaded by the IMSURGE Instantel agent.
Setup
Prerequisites
Before setting up this integration, make sure you have:
- The Instantel unit’s serial number
- The timezone used by the unit
- An IMSURGE Thor Agent configured to upload THOR CSV files to the credential endpoint
Credential Setup
Use Instantel Thor Credentials to create or select the reusable connector for this integration. The connector owns the HTTP ingress endpoint; every Instantel Thor source integration attached to that connector shares the endpoint.
Integration Setup
After selecting the credential, configure the source using:
- Instrument Serial Number - Identifies the Instantel unit. It must match the
SerialNumbervalue in uploaded THOR CSV files. IMSURGE uses it to route ingress files and identify the IMF device. - Unit Timezone - The timezone used to interpret the unit’s local timestamps before conversion to UTC.
- Include Lower-Bound Flags - Controls whether IMSURGE emits boolean lower-bound metrics. The default is Disabled.

Limitations
- Data Push only - The integration cannot poll Instantel, fetch from an API, backtrack, or run manually.
- Histogram events only -
Full Histogramevents are processed;Full Waveformevents are ignored. - Shared ingress endpoint - Sources attached to the same Instantel (Thor) connector share its endpoint and are routed by serial number.
- Alpha Integration - Instantel (Thor) is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
