Setup Instructions

1. Prerequisites

Before setting up the integration, make sure you have:

  1. Access to the RSTAR Affinity tenant containing your sites and instruments.
  2. Reusable RSTAR Affinity Credentials, or the Server Hostname, API Client ID, and API Client Secret needed to create them.
  3. The explicit Sensor Index for the instrument you want to query. It is not supplied by discovery.

2. Creating the Credentials

Follow the RSTAR Affinity Credentials guide to create the tenant Credentials, or select an existing set. The guide covers API user creation, the three required fields, secure storage, reuse, and credential updates.

IMSURGE uses the selected Credentials to load Site and Instrument choices and authenticate data requests. Site, Instrument, and Sensor Index are configured on the integration below.

3. Creating the Integration

After selecting Credentials:

  1. Choose a Site from the queried, searchable dropdown.
  2. Choose an Instrument from the queried instruments belonging to that site.
  3. Enter Sensor Index as a signed 32-bit integer. There is no default, and the instrument ID must not be used as a sensor index.

Site Queried site dropdown; stores the selected site GUID. ✓
Instrument Queried instrument dropdown for the selected site; stores its GUID. ✓
Sensor Index Sensor index within the instrument used to select the data stream. ✓

  • Alpha Integration - RSTAR Affinity is an alpha integration. Results may vary while the integration is being validated.
