Setup

Prerequisites

Before setting up this integration, confirm that API access is enabled on your SvanNET account and know which project and station you want to query.

Credential Setup

Use SvanNET Credentials to create or select the credential for this integration. If it already exists in your workspace, select it instead of creating a new one.

Integration Setup

After selecting the SvanNET credential, IMSURGE calls the SvanNET API so you can configure the following parameters:

  • Unit of Measure – Desired output unit of measure, metric or imperial.
  • Project – The project your device is assigned to.
  • Station – The device you want to collect data from.

Limitations

  • API Key Limits – SVANTEK limits API keys to a maximum of 1500 requests per day. This limit is per account, not per API key. Plan your polling rate carefully to stay within this limit. Each IMSURGE execution uses 2 requests. See the reference table for recommended polling rates.
  • Output Timezone – Readings are output in the timezone configured on the sensor. IMSURGE assumes that the Project Timezone and the Sensor Timezone match, but they can differ. To avoid issues, ensure the sensor and project timezones are consistent.
