Geomotion Cloud
Deliver sensor data from IMSURGE to Geomotion Cloud for visualisation and analysis.
If you are utilizing Geomotion’s managed service, you must coordinate with their support team to obtain FTP credentials (hostname, username, and password). After your IMSURGE pipelines are created, you will also need to work with Geomotion support to have the sensor added to the platform.
Setup Instructions
1. Prerequisites
- Ensure you have been onboarded with Geomotion Cloud and have received FTP server details from Geomotion support.
2. Creating the Integration
When creating a Geomotion Cloud integration in IMSURGE, enter the FTP details provided by Geomotion:
- FTP Hostname – the server address provided by Geomotion.
- FTP Username – your assigned username.
- FTP Password – your assigned password.
Save the integration once these values are entered.

Concerns & Limitations
- Managed service model – IMSURGE writes values to the Geomotion FTP in their preferred CSV format. From that point, Geomotion configures how the data is handled within their platform. IMSURGE does not automatically configure sensors and metrics in Geomotion Cloud, as their service is provided as a managed system rather than a self-service API platform.
- File naming – Event files are written to the FTP destination using a stable name derived from the pipeline name. This ensures files remain consistent even if the pipeline is renamed or cloned.
