SVANTEK (SvanNET)
Ingest noise and vibration data from SVANTEK’s SvanNET platform.
To use this integration, you need to have API access enabled on your account. This needs to be be done by SVANTEK Support prior to being able to setup this integration.
Setup Instructions
1. Prerequisites
After SVANTEK Support enables API support for your account, follow these steps to create a new API key.
- From the SvanNET web portal, log in and create an API key to be used when creating the Credentials.
- Log in with a SvanNET account that has permission to manage API keys.
- Click the Profile icon at the top of the navigation bar on the left side of the screen.
- Select the navigation link for Manage project API tokens.
- A window will appear allowing you to add and manage tokens.
- Click the Add token button:
- Choose the specific project you want the key to access, or select All and IMSURGE will let you choose during setup.
- Grant the Files & data privilege to the key.
2. Creating the Credentials
When adding your SVANTEK integration, you will be prompted to create or select a set of Credentials. To create them, you need:
- API key – Your SvanNET API key created in the previous step.
3. Creating the Integration
After creating or selecting your Credentials, API calls will be made directly to the SvanNET API, allowing you to configure the following parameters:
- Unit of Measure – Desired output unit of measure,
metricorimperial. - Project – The project your device is assigned to.
- Station – The device you want to collect data from.
Concerns & Limitations
- API Key Limits – SVANTEK limits API keys to a maximum of 1500 requests per day. This limit is per account, not per API key. Plan your polling rate carefully to stay within this limit. Each IMSURGE execution uses 2 requests. See the reference table for recommended polling rates.
- Output Timezone – Readings are output in the timezone configured on the sensor. IMSURGE assumes that the Project Timezone and the Sensor Timezone match, but they can differ. To avoid issues, ensure the sensor and project timezones are consistent.

Tips
When choosing the output unit of measure, consider what your target integration requires to avoid unnecessary conversions.
SVANTEK may raise API request limits for accounts on a case-by-case basis. If you are exceeding limits, contact SVANTEK Support to request a higher quota.
