Setup Instructions

1. Prerequisites

Before setting up your integration, ensure you have your Outpost Central account username and password available.

2. Creating the Credentials

When adding your Outpost Central integration, you will be prompted to create or select a set of Credentials. To create them, you need:

  • Outpost Central Username - Your Outpost Central username.
  • Outpost Central Password - Your Outpost Central password.

3. Creating the Integration

After creating or selecting your Credentials, you will need to configure the integration by selecting a device from the following dropdown:

  • Logger (Device ID): The specific device you want to query.

Concerns & Limitations

  • API Rate Limits: Outpost Central has an API limit of 60 requests per minute per outpost central user. While a single pipeline polling every minute will not exceed this, running multiple pipelines with high-frequency polling rates may cause you to hit this limit. If you keep hitting rate limits, its possible you may need to manage separate sets of Credentials, or contact Outpost Central support to have your rate limits increased.
